Wonderland

My sweet Lucy turned 6 this weekend! I swear she was just born. She amazes me everyday with how smart and kind she is and I truly am more proud of her than ever. We celebrated in true birthday fashion with a great theme this year. You all know I love this stuff. We had a Wonderland party, inspired by our trip last year to Disney. Tom and I did not however dress up as the Tweedles like we did for the Halloween Party. I thought I’d share my party plans in case anyone else plans a similar party for their little one. Here is a goofy picture from last fall as well.

Decorations – Oversized playing cards, pink flamingos, polka dot table cloths, big tea cups for the tables, giant flowers to put eyes on for the singing flowers, roses, and a directional sign. I also made a clock on a teapot and painted a frame for a looking glass photo prop.

Craft – Make your own mad hatter hat! Feathers, foam stickers, gems, pipe cleaners, glitter glue, etc.

Games – Red Queen Says, Alice-Alice-Rabbit, Croquet, Pinata (We didn’t play these all because the kids were having fun entertaining themselves.)

Food – We did the usual bbq and salads. The cake was a cupcake cake that we kept real simple and had red roses on it in honor of the Red Queen.

Favors – Cheesman cookies in a clear bag with ribbon and a tag that says “Eat Me.” The kids got to keep their hats and the pinata candy.
