My dear sweet friend Keri welcomed Baby #2 into her family yesterday. Ashton Stephen was born after a “quick labor” at 5:27pm. He weighed in at 7lbs 15oz 19 3/4 in at 38 weeks. Landon is going to be an awesome big brother. Congrats to Keri, Aaron, and Landon on their new addition.
Hard to believe that the 4 terrific moms I have grown so close to all now have two babies. We all met after our first babies arrived. Now we all have two and it’s a circus when we get together. I’m so thankful to have them in my life. It’s fun to see the kids grow and change together. Our first ones are all about to turn 3 and that hardly seems possible. With the addition of Ashton, there are now 7 boys and 3 girls. I really need to try to get a picture of the bunch of them together.
Lucy started back up in dance class this week. She was super excited and jumped right into the group. Originally, she was supposed to be in a new class with all new kids but they didn’t have enough for that to happen so she joined an already established class. As soon as we walked in, she started talking to everyone about her leotard and her tights and her ballet shoes. I was a little worried how she would do going into the closed class room without me but I should have known better. I was able to peek through the curtain and watch her in the mirror. The 7 little girls stood in a line and as soon as the music came on, Lucy started dancing. She has an inability to stand still when music is on. Midway through class the girls came out to get on their tap shoes. Sadly we didn’t have any because we were not supposed to need them. But another woman in the class had a old small pair she gave to Lucy! Let’s just say that tapping is now her favorite. I was able to see them do some plies at the barre and a few minutes of baton. The teacher took out a tumble mat and had them be wheel barrels. I wasn’t sure Lucy could walk on her hands but she had no trouble. My favorite thing was watching her applaud the other little girls when they made it across the mat. I even heard her tell one little, “I know you can do it!” The forty five minute class meets once a week through May. They even wanted Lucy to join in their show. They didn’t think she’d have any problem picking up the recital dance. That’s my girl! Stay tuned for more information. She slept well last night in her tap shoes and a bride dress. She makes me smile.

I have not done one of these in quite some time. Just some updates on this cold Tuesday afternoon.
1. Jackalicious weighed in today at 14lbs 2oz (80%) and 24 in long (65%). He is such a happy little guy. His first shots were hard to watch but he only cried for second when they pinched. Otherwise, the Dr says he is perfect. And she really liked his cloth diapers!

2. Congrats to the Frisolis! Chase is going to have a little brother. I knew it was another boy. So very happy for them.
3. Thank you to everyone for all the birthday celebrations and fun gifts. You are all too sweet and generous. I am ready to accept my thirties.
4. I am officially addicted to Facebook. By midweek of our vacation, I figured out how to use it on Tom’s blackberry.
5. Recently, I won an awesome prize pack of non toxic cleaning products through one of my favorite blogs. They rock! Now I need to find some time and motivation to put them to some good use.
6. I could not figure out the fuss about Ugg boots until I tried a pair on. Thanks to a winning scratch ticket and a birthday gift card, I am now the proud owner of the warmest comfiest boots ever!

7. Lucy thinks that our City Hall is Cinderella’s castle and the Post Office across the way is Jasmin’s palace. This kid has a serious imagination.
8. The cottage on Cape Cod is such a peaceful place to go. We had an awesome week down there despite our nasty colds. July can’t come quick enough. We’ll be down there for the 4th again this year.
9. We recently watched a bunch of movie rentals. Let me tell you that Tropic Thunder is the worst movie ever made!
10. How is it that in a few short months, Lucy will be 3?!?! I’m already working on her Fairytale Party. Details to follow soon.
