Sometimes I wonder if Lucy could be any cuter?!?!?!  I know I am biased because I am her mom but…

She really does make me smile.  I love to go into her room after a nap to her happy smiling face.  Her new thing is to say “Uh – Oh” and it is really cute.  She points to all the animals she has flung from the cage (read: her crib).  It’s as if she is saying – “Uh-Oh – they escaped and I don’t know how….”

I love all her words and the fact that she is so smart.  I found this cool article on CCN last week about baby talk. She knows where half a dozen body parts are and sometimes she shocks me with something new that I wasn’t even aware she knew. The word baby has all of a sudden become “Babiessss”  and she seems obsessed with seeing pictures of babies on computers and phones.  Of course it is usually her own picture but she doesn’t quite get that yet.

It is hard to believe we are already in August.  Lucy has proven to be quite a beach babe and loves swimming in pools as well.  She has been taking a weekly swim class for the last few months.  Not sure what we will sign up for this fall but I am hoping to keep her in one structured activity a week.  It is fun for us and gets us out with other moms and babies.
